Armed with the "Bleasdale walking map of Paxos", Skye and I go exploring along lanes, tracks and footpaths on the south end of the island. Its a good place to walk, on paths through olive groves, along little lanes lined with stone walls, through villages, and occasionally fighting off the undergrowth (yes more scratched legs).
There's a network of paths mostly interlinking, or joined up by short stretches of (mainly deserted) dirt or tarmac roads, although at times its easy to go round in circles trying to find the right one. But the map is pretty good. I could explore here for weeks, I'm guessing. Its a lovely island.
Its great to be back walking reasonable distances. The weather has cooled down enough now to get back to proper walking, as well as proper sleeping. I may even have to fish the duvet out soon.
